Right....
what is actually happening.. and not what you are being told s happening... because a "blocked head" is a very odd assessment..
"Chemical wash".. also.. what exactly was done?

Here is what happens
I turn the key and the van starts up and drives fine for approx half an hour
then it dies no accelaration, but the engine still is on, slightly coughing and spluttering,
i turn ignition off and leave it for half an hour to 45 mins and boom goes again,

the chemical wash kit http://www.importtuner.com/tech/impp_11 ... iagnostic/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Coughing and spluttering, sounds like weak spark to me.
If it was loss of power combined with over heating then I'd say partial seize-up. If it's not air-locked (heater work ok and rad bled out fully?) then the TCI is giving up. It's really only a transisitor amplifier bolted onto a heatsink, they don't last for ever.

So not overheating and spewing coolant out?? or any other symptoms?? just coughing and stopping??

As SB says.. electrical most likely.. ignition component failing.. ("blocked head" :roll: :roll: )....

Could also be fuel starvation..
If the fuel tank is not vented correctly and there is a vacuum forming in there restricting the fuel supply.. but I'd expect it to happen a bit quicker..

I will check tomorrow but I think I have a couple of preloved TCi units in stock I can send over to use for checking
and you could run with the filler cap off to check for fuel starvation due to vacuum lock of the tank (obviously not with a full tank or where you would be sloshing it about - or you could use one of those £5 emergency get you home when you have lost your filler cap caps they generally don't vacuum seal that well
