Re: Oil temp !!!
Yes ... Factory senders are all the same m10x 1mm threads no issues there! I was stupidly under the impression that just because the gauges being oil press, oil temp and volts the sender being large and twin poles would have been for both... WRONG WRONG WRONG!! I still need to replace one of the two original senders(pressure) with an oil temp, leaving me with one spare sender for the spares pile!!!
in too deep to quit now....

Re: Oil temp !!!
apart from the fact that u can still have the temp sender in a better place to catch hot oil and get a proper representation, but rather putting it in the position of the old pressure sender
you seem determined to install the temp sender here, so good luck

Re: Oil temp !!!
No I now realise that the oil temp sender MUST come from the enging case to have any degree of validity!! I still have the oil cooler so I think I'll use that and get a thermostatic sandwhich plate with a temp sender port ... Rather that just remove the exhaust!Epiphone wrote:apart from the fact that u can still have the temp sender in a better place to catch hot oil and get a proper representation, but rather putting it in the position of the old pressure sender
