best way to check if the down pipe is correct is to look at yours, that pipe is meant to be for mid '89 onwards

In theory...it should be a later type then as the van is as late as they get....best just get the full exhaust ordered I reckon, and turbo studs+nuts, mounts, clamps etc...Cooper wrote:My vans a 1992.

Anytime I ever went near a down pipe on an old turbo I had stud issues - be careful!

There isnt a full exhaust kit for a syncro.

There's no kit but all parts are available..those tailpipe bolts aren't renowned for being easy to get out..

Start soaking in plus gas now! Won't work but at least you feel like you tried!

Weld it if can get the MIG nozzle anyway near it, saves a lot of hassle...
Heat will help where +gas won't.
