What carrier did you have? The wheel is the heavy bit normally...are you gonna put any pics of your van on here?

The carrier I had before was this:

Dont take this the wrong way Cooper, but I cant believe you sold the best wheel carrier available in favor of putting something like is in that link on your van. The one you had is the best one IMHO :?

That's perfectly understandable. Personally the bulk and heavyness even without the wheel on I wasn't keen on.
So I am looking at lighter ones:)

I just looked at the link to the land rover thing. That price is for the two bars that go through the wheel to turn the wheel into a bike rack while using the existing wheel carrier I think.

your right, not a wheel carrier, just a bike rack. Quick! get the nutz one back! :lol: I don't see how heavy comes into it myself? it's bolted to the van

Yes but its was warping the metal each time I open the carrier.

It had what looked like homemade supports but it wasn't sufficient.

could you not ask syncronutz for a new strengthener? Got to be cheaper than buying a new carrier
