Ohhhhh dear darling, i didn't realise you were one those..... he he he You could just put it over the clock and pretend if it'd make you feel more 'upper class'
In all seriousness though lloyd, if this lot sell ok then i'm going to put some money back into getting sets made up with Clocks instead of Rev counter.
It should mean almost all bases will be covered then.

Its as close as i can get to that typical orangey red colour that you see on automotive needles. Personally i think its a very very close match if not exact, i'm happy enough with it to supply it as a needle colour with the kits now.
Interestingly, all the while ive been developing this i never actually thought that the orange needle would look very good. I had always been in the mind that I wanted it to look as 'stock' as possible so sided with the white needle. However since mixing up the colour and actually installing it i've changed my mind, the orange needle's look superb! They look great in daylight and even better once its dark.
Unfortunately it had got too dark to take any pictures of the orange needle in daylight (i'll take some tomorrow) but i've got some pics of it in darkness, see what you think. I left the rev counter with white needles to provide a really easy comparison.
Here's a shot of the system with the UV LED's turned off too, just to remind everyone what this whole saga has been about. As you can see, the gauge faces would be totally pointless with out them! I guess it proves how visible the needles are too, there's certainly no problem seeing them thats for sure.
Well done that man!!................The gauges look really smart Al,and the orange needles look like they should have been like that from the off,Is there enough orange paint in the kit to do the needles on the temp and fuel gauges as well?
Im looking forward to fitting a set of these
1xSpeedo
1xRev counter
1xBallast (for powering units) with connected hue & brightness adjustment control (with sticky pad for mounting)
1xFuel gauge
1xTemp gauge
2xUV LED's
1xWhite light LED
1x Scotch block connector (for splicing into power feed from headlight switch)
Piece of silver foil tape (for the insides of the bulb holders to create a reflector)
Pot of paint for all needles (speedo, rev counter, fuel and temp)
I hear what you are saying, and i decided as most of them are not working that i would leave it up to the individual to get an LED for the clock if they decide they want one.
Additionally, my clock doesn't work, so i have no way of testing to see what it would look like.
If there's enough interest i can supply LED's for the clock and any other application that takes those type of bulbs. I'm also looking into solutions for other lights on the dash also, like the heater controls for instance.....
would be interested if and when you do a kit for ''clock type dash'',just looked at campervanculture, the price is really very good for what you get for the money, well done
Just in case anyone is wondering what they look like with all the needles painted orange, I finally got round to finishing the painting on mine. Here's a pic.
