Yes, we should, that would be great.

Dont know who is the manufacturer.
all be it somewhat de tuned, and minus it's turbo, in short, it's reliable, at least for a racing motor, quite a revelation after racing air cooled engines. One thing I can throw in as regards building these motors is to watch out for the barrel spigot sealing shoulder fouling on the shouldered case nuts, the result won't need description, but I guess it depends purely on bad luck, as I find the shoulders on the nuts vary, and trust me not to notice one odd ball had the un desired effect.

It's good to hear some more progress on this, after doing the Clee Hills trial last weekend I'm having nagging thoughts about a Holman 2.5 for the buggy, time to look out for a rebuildable DJ though anywayPetenAli wrote:Interesting from Johnnyace (welcome to 8090 by the way). I have a little nagging thought about a 2.1 DJ in my Classic Trials Beetle. It goes pretty well with a tuned 1285cc so a 2.1 that can take a Syncro up Simms and Blue Hills would be an interesting concept.
Totally agree with your comments about silverbullet as well.
As you're back Ian, I need to agree with you a final list of all the bits needed to finish the 2.5. Like you say - don't want to lose the slack and March will be here before we know it!
