Home now, thanks for all the advice, dont think it is the 4th 5th syncro problem as its been good as gold in 4th. Took our time coming back, all ok. Spent a night with a t4 Cali, too small inside, not for me. Now to find a garage that can sort it, the ones familiar with t3's I've spoken to are booked up til July!

So, now I'm getting prices for a recon on the box, that devil on the shoulder is pointing out that I might as well put a proper engine in and the gearing to suit at the same time...

SyncroAndy on here can do your loom for ETDi, keep it as designed as much as possible with VAGCOM for fault finding, diagnosis and tuning options

if you want to book a slot for the box mid July let me know asap you can always cancel if you decide to go elsewhere but if you leave it a month or so I may well be booked into September the way things are going at the mo

Anything's possible given the cash Aiden! I'm looking at buying one of your old reconned boxes (pending guarantees... ) or using Bears or for drive in drive out simplicity at a price a rebuilder in Hastings...

weighing up my options, with cashflow as it is, I don't want to rush into anything, sure we're all in the same boat.
