Stayed at a brilliant campsite. flat pitches, superb views, not too expensive and in a good location.
Called Little Meadow, very camper friendly, ( 5 VWs while we were there, 1 split, one bay and 3 wedges). North Devon, Berrynarbor,nr Ilfracombe/Combe Martin. take a look at their website, but dont tell anyone else!
Did you drive back on the Monday? took us six hours to drive back to Southampton.
No we went on early Tuesday morning came back Friday evening, no traffic either way, not even on the 303!
We don't do bank holidays

I dont think I have ever seen as many Volkswagen campers in one place, outside of a show, as in North Devon! not to mention all the "camper" trinkets in every shop. but great place to buy a camper from, mine was in Dartmoor, best test drive ever!
The N.Devon VW club is very active (probably helped by N.Devon being so isolated it is like a self contained county). We went to their Final Fling meeting last October half term...well worth a trip again if anyone fancies one last event before it turns cold(er).
