THe CV joint stories on here worry me. :(

Would it be worth changing all the bolts to play safe?

Is there a way of checking so that a CV joint does not surprise you and just let go?

yep...get underneath every so often and ensure your bolts are tight.

that's the advice I was given.

Splined bolts rather than allen are a very worthwhile investment. Its sods law that if the bolts do go, its always on the north circular in rush hour or at night with a camper full of kids when its raining.

I got new bolts from brickwerks, also do you think the porsche CV joints are a good upgrade, the bolts are the same size and do seem too small, advise form a seasoned tuner is to redrill everything and fit bigger bolts. The porsche ones are just thicker so i guess that gives more clamping force??? I wanna upgrade to a svx engine next year when ive sorted all my body work out so just dont wanna repeat of this.
