Some excellent views there. I'm not sure I'd have entrusted my van to that rope bridge though.....

Good pictures,looks a bit like the road to Gilgit,we drove there in 1993 in a 1600cc air cooled t2 vw [1972 year] .
Good luck fixing your oil leak.

Oh so you have been around, I did Gilgit, Hunza and Shandur last year but that was on my Land Rover Tomb Raider edition (pics attached). I still meet many people from UK and Europe and they always have a T3 if they are on a VW so I help them out with fixing their rig and stuff, how did your T2 do while you were here?

The van was a bit slugish past Gilgit [we went up near the Chinese border to see the glascia] ,had some welding done to the front valance on the way to Gilgit and of course tires,apart from that no other problems!.
We also had 6months in India on the same trip.
I dont think, so I'm not[do I exist?]

Sorry but as mentioned there is no way in hell I'd have driven mine over that rope bridge!! :shock:
