I'd nip to take a pic but the vans at my Mums house, I will do it first thing. It is just a big bearing but as Weldore says, it has quite a lot of play.

I have a nylon block too on my early door. It's not a snug fit but it's only there as a guide piece
I have only seen new ones at JK as they are obsolete

if its an improvement its a crap one as it rattles about a bit..leaves quite a bit of movement on the top of the door

dontwant to thread steal but..can you still get the nylon bit that goes with the runner bearing..as mines worn a groove in it
Do you mean 13a in the early door picture? The one on the middle hinge assembly?
Only seen it at JK and to remove the original you have to grind off the rivet head but the new one comes with a nut and bolt

yes Cruz, they look like the bits, that first one is the one thats worn a groove in mine i think..and the second will replace the bearing.
if they were retro fitted then it could have been any size bearing on there

Ive used the top picky for the centre fitment, works ok,
the lower picky is the one for the top , its mearly as guide as no real load is aplied, the bottom and middle handle that.
I looks like the door top brackets are the same so wouyld need the nylon block, saddle and bolt,

Here's a pic of what the top connection looks like. The bearing is about 15mm in diameter, would that nylon block just sit on top? Jon.

That looks very much like a bodge to me. The nylon block goes where the ball bearing is (it looks like a ball bearing to me)

The hinge link and lower roller guide and guide rail are covered in grease.
Am I best cleaning this grease off and starting again? The guide rail is full of it and probably dirt in there too. Jon.
