Loosing the independent suspension will make the ride sh..... especially on the front.
Far cheaper to just by a unimog or volvo.

Why not nail a T3 shell onto an LR rolling chassis? It could be done rear engined too, if you know from which years to pick your axles and transfer box...the track and wheelbase are very similar. Possibly the ultimate "chimera" offroader?
