And two sets of complimentary weekend passes were also sent to club for people sorting the display.
Much appreciated of course David... they've gone to the deserving organisers and contributors to what was going to be a display, er which now isn't, maybe, perhaps, will be, we'll see...
Well, I obviously vented my personal frustrations there David... so apologies, will remove this thread after a short while, hopefully nothing personal, I just had a a pretty firm idea in my head, as did Doug and Myles and Matt, about what was expected and I think when posting I was just 'feeling' for those others who while I've been away, have been mailing/thinking/re-thinking/re-mailing/re-posting/guessing/estimating/re-estimating/planning/re-planning etc as well as Jenny who has done her usual pin-board display of recent events, getting loads of digi photos of recent activities printed/collected/paid-for/arranged and pinned up etc.
Still can't see CamperJam's problem with a
simple place to set up a few Syncros, either with or away from where we sleep the night(s).. but this seems the modern world... complicate evrything. As much as anything, I came back to plenty comms going in both directions and plenty misunderstandings - maybe c'est la vie cette millenium. Surely CJ organisers must realise that '
line-ups' are now a bit passè
We obviously are being 'organised' rather than 'organising'... perhaps not used to the former, which grates
Of course there's also Syncropendence this weekend and agreeing (against an inner voice) to make the effort and stay awhile on the borders with shedloads of kit on board, 'do' CamperJam, make a splash despite being a bit travel weary - in retrospect might have been a mistake.
Yes Dave (Krakenwagen) let's go and have a hoot, we'll find plenty to enjoy...
Seriously David (E)... I was just thinking of a handful who could've spent their time a bit more profitably in the last week or so if I hadn't helped encourage them to get involved, that's all, needed to vent, done that... hehe, just realised don't do it often enough
..but be pleased to meet up in person, where I hope we'd come across MUCH NICER

(& all be more undertsanding of mutual frustrations)
