Anyway back to topic, I recently bought a van with this conversion, and it runs and works fine although there are a few things i would like to sort out so it's all mint. Are there any UK suppliers of the bell housing adaptors and the engine mounting bars, as per the one's listed on the South African website? My set up appears to be a home made affair and although it's fine, i'd rather have the real deal, and plan to sort everything out in the next few months. I've already spoken to Simon @ brickwerks and have the beast booked in late April for a check up etc, but any help in the meantime would be great.
Anyone? I emailed the company in SA and they seem to have gone bust recently.......so much so that the guy tried to sell me the company!
She's off to Brickwerks tomorrow anyway so we'll see what they say.
There are a few guys down in bristol fitting Audi engines into vans. one has the in line 5 tdi and the other a v6 bi turbo. gear box choice is std 5 speed with adaptor on bell housing to engine, the other is using renault un1 box with an audi bell housing cut and re-welded to fit the un1. The porsche 915 is an easy fit into the T25/T3 but will need an adapter plate to make good the marriage of engine and box. Also clutch and flywheel mods needed.
