most vans i have bought have had dodgy fuel guages, and every time it has been the terminal on the tank fuel sender unit. wiggle it off and check for corosion.
i do like having a working fuel guage.

Thanks for that I will have a go at it tomorrow. Would definately be better working; a thirsty car and no gauage are not a winning combo!
