On the bottom of the tank there's the outlet (spigot) your fuel filter is attached to on the right hand side with a short piece of rubber fuel hose. On the left hand side is another outlet normally blanked off with a rubber cap. If you pulled the hose off the right hand outlet and no petrol came out it's probably blocked. All I was suggesting was take off the blank on the left outlet and attach the pipe from your fuel filter to it instead, then blank off the right hand one.
Another member did the same to fix a fuel supply problem recently.
