wiper & light problem

ok - so I didn't initially do this because it says on the wiki, and other sites:

"It is a legal requirement that an indicator light is shown on the fog light switch so make sure it is wired into the loom. "

and on mine this only happens when in position two.... when both front and rear are on.

Am I being daft or does this actually matter?

No it doesn't for the front
but you'll find once wired the light should come on in pos 1
