You might want to toddle off down to see Ian at Watsons in Wimbledon who can supply a rubber priming bulb to fit between the filter and pump. The bulb comes with two one way valves and is so useful if you get air problems. I have had one on my last two JXs and wouldn't be without it. Around 20 quid but well worth it. I might pick one of those up at some point....

I did a bit of work on the van a while back, i had the inlet banjo off the fuel pump for some reason. Anyway, i finished up, the van started straight away and off i went. About 5 miles later the van cut out when i stopped at some lights. Cranked it up again and it struggled to get started but it did. I limped home getting on the nerves of Nottingham's Saturday football traffic and lifted the lid to find out what was wrong.

Top tip: Don't trap your fuel pipe in-between the alternator and the engine bay lid - it cuts the fuel supply and your van wont work very well.
