Re: what clutch?
You could do worse than fit one of rjes throttle cables, they are supplied well over length - long enough for any engine conversion. I've got one fitted to the Microbru with it's EJ22 and didn't bother trimming it, but let it loop round in a smooth curve to meet the throttle body.
Quality of the cable is v.good but make sure the outer is well clamped to stop it creeping (suppliment the bits included or you'll wonder why performance slowly diminishes by the week)

lughole wrote:right then,
got the engine out of the syncro - its been a real toil to get out, but finaly managed. still in the garage at the mo, covered in crud, car only fits half way in the garage, rain etc...
we cant figure out what clutch we need to order.
its a 1991 doka, volvo engine conversion, 4 speed. its petrol, but dont know if its all ways been petrol. ( not original no.plate so thats no help...)
we are doing a b230a volvo like for like swap, the numbers on the old clutch dont seem to correspond with anything suppliers have got on their system.
the numbers are;
thrust bearing no. 3151193041
clutch plate; 1861581437
cover; 8082086434 theres also a stamped number; typm228
it sez made in germany on it, so we assume its vw, it must be!
cant figure out what to do.
any clues?

Re: what clutch?
As noted, all part numbers were Sachs numbers.
I put them into TecDoc, thats the OE referances for the particular part.
I know your sorted, just thought the number hunters would appreciate them.
