My new T25 - How do I make things bloody work?

Well there are two issues:
The clicking is the ebber fuel pump working after it's initial start up proceedure...typically it will run for a couple of minutes just blowing cold air before the 'tone' changes and the pump starts to work.
Many users complain about 'the noise' just how loud yours is I don't know but some can be very noisey indeed.
The smell.....again, any heater/fire/exchange will smell for a while after being stood unused, it's the dust/condensation/crap that has built up over that period. Fumes are a different matter altogether but you say plasticy/rubbery....so hoses/ducting/outlet...just how hot are they getting?
