Just had a BOD problem too with my 1.9 DG and here’s what I found...
I usually get the local garage that does the MOT to change the oil but this time they put in fully synthetic 5W30 rather than 15w50. I queried this but they checked their computer which recommended this oil. After a 15 mile motorway drive the BOD came on when slowing down at a roundabout. But I could get it to go off and stay off by reving the engine again so I carried on.
Having read the 8090 Wiki and the threads here, I checked over the wiring and it didn’t look too hot (or should I say it looked like it had got too hot) so replaced the wiring but tying it away from the hot engine where possible.
I tested the high pressure switch with a resistance meter with a hot engine and noticed that it would chatter while idling but the resistance would change from 5 to 12 ohms as I reved the engine. This seemed odd so I replaced the switch just in case. The chattering seemed to make sense if the OP was ~0.9 bar at idle but could this wear out the switch rapidly? Is this a flaw with the sensor design?
The engine is a VEGE recon so I checked the OP relief valve but it looked ok.
Rather than argue with the garage (or worse still, the garage's computer), I just bought some Comma Europa 15w50 and replaced the oil.
So far all is well and the BOD has stayed off.
Any Suggestions Please

Re: Any Suggestions Please
I think there's a fair few of us on here have had this problem
First, for not a lot of wonga, an oil pressure check at any reputable garage will give you peace of mind.
If pressure is ok, I suggest you follow this thread . I did and no more buzzer of doom
