Can I take you up on your offer of model numbers etc please? Your set up looks very solid and the way to go.

Thanks,

Pete

Been scratting around for part numbers etc and failed dismally I'm afraid. My filing system is also a bit rubbish so my receipts could be anywhere.
However, this is pretty much what I've got - probably just a newer version as I'm pretty sure that's where it came from on advice from people on SBMCC website. Not an "intelligent" charger but it's done me fine since it went in over 3 years ago. I use a standard lead acid battery as a leisure battery and it's still in good order - went in the same time as the general electric revamp.

Towsure do the consumer units still.

I'll try and find the manuals etc for mine over the weekend to be certain I'm pointing you in the right directions

We're in Cornwall for a while from the end of the month so if you want to come and have a look we can sort something out and meet up somewhere perhaps. Lots of family and friends to visit so we'll be passing nearby you at some point no doubt

To bitler1@gmail.com for what it's worth my old BBB was on the left as well
What a long strange trip it's been

The replacement I bought was about the same as your ebay.de one (if you factor in the postage costs from Germany (they weigh a tonne) vs the free postage from Amazon), and a modern charger is likely to do a far better job of charging and maintaining your batteries than a 20 year old one.

Some are on a different level now I think! A lot more money of course, but you'd have super-conditioned, fragilistic, de-sulphereated battery heaven I should think

7 genuine amps, plus a highish IQ £86-80

This would get even 300 AH worth of batteries up to full charge sharpish and can handle up to 500 Amp hours £182

Latest CTEK leisure charger (from alternator or solar panel source) £215
