8x16" with an ET of 11 I think .... but they fit. They were on my 2WD bus and Crankinwagens Syncro before I stole them back ....

I'm with syncropaddy actually.
Those Pentas ride spot on.
Got the same wheels fitted to my Syncro and have run them on 3 vans prior to that. No issues at all.

Sorry but no, too many compromises for me. PoshB, are you sure those ford ones will bolt on standard studs safely, you know, more than 5 turns of the nut? Do you have to change nut?

The Granada rims I have seen on many vans and they have an offset of et32.
Ford use the tapered nuts so you would need to replace your radiused VW ones. I have known people fit them without any stud exensions but how much thread is left is something I am unsure of. You could go for longer bolts and swap the studs on the rear if you needed to. The size is M14.
No centre bore machining necessary. IIRC they have collars in the wheel bolt holes which you knock out.
Not a total bolt on cheap fix but the closest thing without buying expensive aftermarket rims at £xxx

No, I'm talking about a Syncro, it has studs all round & you have to destroy front bearings to replace them (= lots of faffing!)
Will need to see a set myself to check. Cheers anyhow.

14" Cheese Holes you know it makes sense, no faffing
drilling out holes, removing collars, finding alt. nuts, machining centres, sourcing centre caps etc....= faff
ride right, correct load rating,, TUV approved, rare , look right

Are there any? Is it an impossible dream? 16" keyholes the only ones? Can't be, can it?

I once discovered a rim called Estauto W-N101, comes in 16x7, ET 35and 5x112 bolt pattern but I cannot find the other specks so not sure. Most promising alloy I've ever found tho (except for the cv 900 of course)

I've got 14" alloys! I'm wanting some 16"!!
but it's a 14" van and despite what your missus tells you another 2" won't make any difference
