Well, I guess I'll just see. Too much of a faff to wire in a switch - same issue for wiring to leisure battery, can't run it everyday (work in central London) so I'll test it and see. If it runs the battery down I'll just disconnect the battery I guess.

Perhaps I just fancied buying a solar panel - some kind of subconscious urge - perhaps the Maplin catalogue that came through my door had subliminal msgs in the pics!!

yes id love a panel too- me and my girldfriend have moved out of our posh flat and now live our van full time, so im looking into the options...
