paint it with vatcan first tone,, it will halt the rust on the outside but don't clean the rust off first or it wont work. as said tho they tend to rust from the inside due to the acidity of the exhaust residue but still worth treating the outside.
the holes on yours are due to condensation inside the box sitting there and dissolving it from the inside. (condensation forms every time the system cools down after use then gets blown out when you start up again) motorbike exhausts have a drain hole at the lowest point to prevent this.
regular use will help.

Tuttt, you didn't search the Wiki this time, or did the price frighten you... :D

https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Ge ... e_finishes

This should stay on for quite some time, if applied as per instructions... don't stand around when first getting exhaust up to temp though - quite noxious.
===============

I found the zinc weld-thru spray lasted a fair time on my TD exhaust, but they are cooler due turbo taking a lot of energy out of gases...

Cleaning & degreasing failry important as usual

I have sprayed my exhaust box with Halfwits enamel "chrome look" paint, its still fully on after 3 months, its only flaking off the tail pipe due to rust
