.Was hoping to get a battery to fit under the wood lid ok to not look unsightly or to not interfere when got seat swivelled round. Was bit surprised when got the van there was not one fitted wouldn't it be a standard fix on new autosleepers ?
Thinking will have to take it in somewhere & just pay some auto electrician whatever to prob rig 1 up in engine bay (would that cause any issues you think chaps ?)
Your battery box is the same as mine and everyone elses mate..
believe me it will fit.
No. The swivel base raises the seat
yes that's right horns, now sleeper swivel
bases overhangs.. you have to remove the seat and swivel it round facing in to remove a battery.

That's right - you do. But it does allow enough extra clearance above the battery to allow for the slightly raised lid. Without it I'm not sure you could fit an Elecsol and still slide the seat back.

No no.. it slides off, there's a little tab on the runner that stops it going all the way off, lift that up... and off she comes.
I looked at the engine bay way, and to be honest securing it and getting one in, stopping the water dripping on it when it rains.. would be a bit of a drama.
remember mate I have one too

VW put that box there for you to put an Aux battery in where it stays out of frost and is accessible.
I can fit one for you no probs
