Re: Improving Fuel Economy?
Easiest way to double your MPG is to drive to your destination and get towed back.

Cheers

Re: Improving Fuel Economy?
i just worked that out after leaving the post. i googled lambda and found out it goes on the exhaust. i was getting it muddled with the hall sensor on the carburettor.
you are right. i definately dont have a lambda on either of mine.
so what happens if i change my hall sensor...

Re: Improving Fuel Economy?
So you're getting 22-23 mpg on gas then. That's good for a syncro - equiv. to over 40mpg petrol.hotpod wrote:how do you know if the lamda needs changing and how much difference did it make?
mine does 300 miles to 60 litres. any improvement on that would be wicked.
I'm getting 21 on a run out of the 2.6 and that's 2wd and cruising at 65...

Re: Improving Fuel Economy?
wow.
i really do honestly know what i am talking about most of the time ...
i just sometimes get my words muddled up.
no carburettor either! definately.
i meant the reconbominator.
my trucks dont run on gas. the 112i is a thirsty petrol monster, but i just drove from lands end to yorkshire and back with bfg mts and a van full and got 500ks to 60l so almost exactly 300 miles . i tend to use the trip counter as a kind of fuel guage because reserve on the actual guage is a bit vague.
