OK, bought the new alternator from JK. Went to see if it fits and the bracket on the right (little ears type thing) doesnt match up. Anyone know if there are any alternative brackets to make this alternator fit? Leaving in 1 1/2 weeks so I'm proper stressing!!!
Also for future reference to anyone, the pulley shaft needs to be swapped with the original alternator's one as the pulleys dont line up.
If anyone knows where to find either: bracket to fit the Hella 90a Alternator or any other type of 90a alternator that will 100% fit a JX engine then please drop me a line.
Also very disappointed with JK as they are not proving much help depsite their website saying the alternator will fit all d/td's 81" to 92".

OK, finally managed to get a 90a Alternator built up from scratch. The nice people at Powerparts in Edmonton (London, N18) have built up a 90a one using roughly the same exterior casing as my old 65a one... Its with a courier on its way to me now....hope it works.
On another note: It turns out that the one sent by JK is actually not a Hella one but a (badly) reconditioned Bosch one. The guy at Powerparts showed me just how bad....the outside was spanking new and shiny but the interior was barely reconditioned (apparently....as I'm no expert on alternators...). A bit gutted at £140!
Thanks, David
