I reckon the knobbly MT's would be better then.. or would they.
from what I've heard MTs are not that good on ice. Am running the BFG ATs although crankinwagen and syncropaddy were running BFG MTs yesterday with no major probs was thinking of putting on the muds (Conways)but sticking with the ATs due to the sipes and the fact i can drive faster than 20 mph without thinking a 747 is following me

the MTs have been great in this, but it's compacted snow with no melt and freeze ice yet, I can get up onto the compacted snow the cars won't go on so I can overtake them plodding about at 5mph the prats, shouldn't be on the road
but the back end can happily be provoked and where there is ice it's beware, but what you'd expect

this is the best snow here for well over 30 years and still lying , -9 last night and it's still -4 c in the workshop this morning, even the tea gets cold in my big mug

Well its -9 here too which is unheard of. Snowed again last night but had trouble starting the van this morning - I think the diesel may be freezing. BFG MT's are great in this weather until you get onto the ice and then like everything else they are sh!te.

Pipes froze today so Ive no water in the house :(

Just a few pics from yesterday.

I've been lurking on the forum for the past 12 months getting to grips with syncro ownership, I love my syncro. We had crossed words on one occasion but came to a mutual understanding!

This is my daily driver and I would echo the sentiments of the thread 'Bloody Syncro's', it's when you get weather like we've had over the past few days that you realise what fantastic vehicles these are. I'm sure my 16'' thinks it's back in Finland!

By the way, impressed at the way the Kumho AT's have performed in these conditions.

Nice to see another 16" down south, great photo's.

There were two 16" syncro's parked at work today, not very often you see that. Got everyone else talking. All my colleagues are buying T5's though :run

Cheers Simon.

Hopefully I may get to some of the SW meets, it's not too far a trek from here. I have lots of plans to 'camperise' the 16 as and when funds permit, so it would be good to get some tips!

My friend has a 16" doka and a 16" panel van converted to a high top westfalia joker - he's near St. Ives. There are some photos on his website http://www.hotpod.co.uk - see the October section in News for a photo of his van in a newspaper article.

Good to see the Doka is working hard Ash, those MT's certainly have an aggressive tread pattern!

ha ha...yes all in right direction this time Doug, only a few light flurries today but Tuesday may be a bit more promosing!
Hi BCE, yes they are 14" but do seem to be getting harder to find. Will have to change to 15" eventually i guess.
