Sheckels...... :rofl :rofl or was it groats of corn oil and sheaves of wheat?

This Syncro, to me , is special because there were so few genuine Irish ones in the first place and its the first Syncro I ever saw!
Another nice thing about it is that because we didn't salt the roads in Ireland every winter while this one was on the road, this one isn't rusty at all. Just surface rust where the paint has got damaged. All the seams are perfect. However, there were 4 half inch holes drilled into the floor which will have to be welded up.
I'm still not sure what the engine is, but "its out of a Vento", I have no idea if it starts, no idea if the gearbox is OK, in fact I've no idea about anything about it except the bodyshell. I have it stashed in a small warehouse up the road and I'm heading up there tomorrow with fully charged batteries and jumpleads and if all goes according to plan ....... I might actually get to drive it! According to the lad I bought it from, it should drive as it was driven into the shed where I got it from.

Wouldn't it be great if she was 'on the button'!! :)

we all know that there is no such thing as a cheap van, but some how it's well worth the effort.

Sure you'll do your best to spend what it needs Andrew, and if you come a cropper, there's a fairly buoyant market out there....

Isn't there? :D

Oddly for a van, there is a headlining which the owner had fitted along with custom side panels

Stick a hairdryer in the filter box for 5 minutes before trying to start it Andrew, if it don't go then, you know it needs a good looking at on the fuelling side
