Hi, sorry I didnt mean to say I was offended just trying to help but not sure if my general solution would help a specific problem in an area where you obviously have experience and I dont.

Bert,
My throttle cable snapped a couple of weeks ago and all the usual sources proved negative, so the old one has been sent an outfit near Swansea called:- http://www.speedycables.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; who are at present making one up for me. Sadly, they have had it for 2 weeks already ...... no news yet. :(

Bert,
My mechanic got it back on Friday 15 working days after it was dispatched to them ..... he fitted the mother with no probs and I've done around 75 miles in mixed conditions (around town, motorways etc) since and it's working great :D . My bloke at garage was impressed with the quality of workmanship. Cost was £28 bucks which I think was value for money.

However, their PR skills are non-existant because when I rang initially, the receptionist who seemed to be on her first day in the job was unable to give me even a `ball-park` figure on the likely cost. That's ok though, but she didn't even offer me to speak to someone who could help with my query and when I asked was told there was no one available. (expecting to get flamed by the boy Baxter any time soon  ).

When I'm next in Swansea I might very well pop in to see what their operation is like. Seems quite impressive from the web-site, but I rather expect to find something resembling Trevor Bayliss' shed! Hehehe.

Good luck mate with your endeavours.

Eric.
