Sounds good. There are a few of us meeting up on the western edge of Sheff this Friday - all impromptu and informal - 5.30pm onwards at the 3 merry lads pub at lodge moor/redmires.

The pubs garden looks over the A57 that becomes the snake pass further west. Easiest route to the pub for those that don't know it is to head straight up lodge lane(a steep right turn on a right hand bend just after the A6101 branches off left from the A57 to rivelin.) Turn right at the crossroads at the top,(gives you and your van a chance to compose yourself after the tyre burning hairpin you'll just have encountered)!the pub is about a mile along on the right, just past the sportsman on the left.
Another way is get into crosspool A57,then follow signs to redmires and lodge moor. You will eventually reach the 2 pubs.

There is a forum running on this meet at:

Camper looks great and shiny - what colour was it before you used the compound - may clash with the blue interior!!!

matt wrote:cool, we'll have a summer derbyshire meet soon, Me and Torz are in mickleover,Missus Jens in sunny mackworth, T'hulleys are in werksworth, as is James Dot Grundy's.......

Matlock bath train stations a good wednesday nite place, a few jars over looking the derwent ?

Matlock sounds good - is it a regular meet? Carsington would be fun in warmer weather - Barbies out and we can bring a heap of toys to play with in the water.

shepster wrote:Tee-cut and one of those cheap polishers from Halfords.

Hey up Shepster - many thanks for the advice - removed the luggage rack (underneat was about 8 years of rotten leaves, snails, worms, Spiders and all manner of invertibrates.

Washed it and T-Cut it then sprayed liberally with ArmorAll and I now have a newish looking luggage rack. When my new tent arrives the poptop will be next.

Also managed to recover and reuse the rubber seal.

So thanks for the top tip (could not afford a polishign thingy from Halfords so my arms are now a bit sore). :D
