Whilst I tend to agree in some circumstances, I have to say that not all garages are like that. Find a good one and stick to it. Ojsmith will, I'm sure, agree with me!Citizen Smith wrote:Like I said many times before - taking your MOT at a garage that does the work is like leaving your keys in your vehicle outside the flicks! Use the concil depot or make it quite clear you you have a tame mechanic.

Re: Mot faliure
It all depends on the mot tester, this time the owner of the garage did it. Did a full mot, checked the carburettor settings set the mixture .And I was charged now’t .He asked who had do the work ,which I did .And seamed a bit puzzled on some of the mot failure points last time. But never mind the bus is on the road and we are away for two weeks in August and a week in September and couple of vw bus, camper do’s if I have time.
Got a wedgey and proud

Pleased you got a pass, great result! As you said, depends on tester (who it is hoped knows the current regulations and isn't looking for work. Hence, when you find a good garage stick to it!
BTW, Stoke isn't too far away, why not come to Sept meet at Rainton? It's free to camp!
