I just checked my fuel over the weekend, full tank to full tank, 2.1 Syncro.
We did 290 miles on 48.1 litres, which comes out at an amazing 27 and a bit to the gallon. Never been that good before, but I did think it seemed to running really nicely. I'm assuming this is down to the upgearing of the bigger wheels/tyres - now running on 195R15 and this was our first longish run on these.
Very Happy
:ok
What a long strange trip it's been

I'm also running 195R15's (only car tyres) and they're Merc 15" ET25 which isn't recommended in the WIKI (for some reason) but it works perfectly. It has appeared to improve fuel consumption - especially on runs

Or my old trick, stick a massive notice on your dash which says "NEVER EVER press the accelerator unless your really have to."

Lot of drivers leave their foot on the throttle too when backing it off slightly doesn't lose any road speed but saves heaps on fuel.
