Aye you're right Simon, but I don't run a petrol WBX on choke, possibly for a few miles to a gas station each month ..... however, let's not enter a debate on carcinogenic particulates

never liked auto chokes and why I changed over to a manual, been on for two months now and, to date, haven't needed to use it. Economy improved on short daily hauls only. I average 23MPG on LPG and 25 MPG on petrol with a light foot.

Its a bolt on replacement for the auto choke heater body that requires no modification to the Pierburg other than to disconnect the pull down vacuum hose and blank it. The coolant hoses that connect to the choke body also need to be coupled. Mine is backwardly compatible and the auto choke can be refitted very quickly The long cable required is the only fly in the ointment but suprisingly easy to fit and make one up. Probably better to describes as a topic in the 'modifications' forum but most folks are happy with their auto chokes when set up and working correctly so haven't bothered to cover this. Will take a couple of pics and post them
