Watch this space. :)

I have had a reply from Richard Kitchener at Propex Heatsource & he doesn't think that these vents are a Propex product. He suggested that I email him a photo of the vent & he will show it to some of the longer serving ''Propexies'' to see what they think. :)

It's a heavy box mind . . . will probably require a moving and handling assessment, a cuppa (or several) and a buttie!

It's as you suspected then, by the sounds of it. Feel free to use the photo in this thread if you want to BL.

Well, I have finally found out the origins of the flue/vent/grille thingy found on Auto-Sleepers & some other campers (eg. Holdsworth). :)

Richard Kitchener at Propex Heatsource showed Tony's photo to some of the old timers at the company & they identified the part. It was made by Peck Engineering in Lincoln for use with the X1. Unfortunately, the part has been consigned to history. Pecks developed into what is now known as Propex Heatsource Ltd.

Mr.Kitchener suggested that if a few people needed replacements it may be possible to get a small engineering company to make some. I'm not sure whether that is feasible taking into account the potential cost. I'm going to make some enquiries in the Bolton area just to test the water.

Thats interesting to know, I have an x1 propex to fit into my van, is this part needed, or is it ok to have an open ended pipe under the van.

I notice on a lot of vans these have been placed onthe side, but I will be fitting the pipes to run underneath the van.

Nice one Bowton Lad! 8)

I wonder how many people on here would want one (or two) if we could find someone who'd make them :?:
