i did the sticky matting, on side panels too aye, did it on a warm summer day, so there should have been no water/condensation in the van. i sprayed Waxoyl over the bits I couldn't reach with sticky mats.

I can do the seatbox, but i'd only need 2 panels, and they only sell boxes of 10, so i'd end up with 8 spare. I'm buying a Mk1 Golf next week though so might be able to use them then...
