The bracket looks to have been dropped, the tank is still available. Have JK got any? I`m sure they had OE ones according to their catalogue.

If you can get a later type one, then you`ll have to make it fit, one of the joys of having 20 year old vehicles, you can`t expect stuff to be available off the shelf any more :( I wouldn`t be bothered with buying a second-hand one, any of those will also be 20 years old and suffering :cry:

Apparently there was a "Brand Inhibit" on ordering my parts from the local VW place because it is not a 'commercial' centre. So now I need to order them from a 'commercial centre', which just happens to be right next door to the airport where I work. Unfortunately it's my day off today and I don't fancy driving over towards work on my day off.

As I've said on other threads.

I bought a new tank for my petrol 2.1 from JK. it leaked after about 6 months.
Bought one form VW ( comercial van centre) much better quality.
