Bluebird cab bunk

Reviving a pretty old thread here, but I'm thinking of getting one of these fellas : http://www.bluebird-type2.co.uk/T25interior.htm At £60 a go, quite an investment (we'll just have to have more kids!)

Now, the chip off the old block will be about 6 -7 months when we're planning a small camping trip. Do you think this might be a bit young? and would it be wise for me to put a bit of netting up the sides to stop him jumping/rolling/leaning out ?

While we're at it, where's a good place with hook-up to go camping in May that's no more than 40-50 miles from Milton Keynes? Feel free to join us also.

i quite fancy one of these, but i believe they can be tricky to fit. Also, not sure if you need removeable headrests, and my seats have built in head rests. I did make one last year as some have on here, but i find the width a bit to small compared to the bluebird ones. (do a search under hammock fittings an dyou'll find it) I made a kid of square box of material which ad poles to hold the base but tied the sides to grab handles and 2 other handle i put behind the seats. this stopped summer faling out, but she won't go in there now! - too big.

really want one of these bluebird cabbunks though if i knew it would defo fit my van. (I can only recline my drivers seat so far as there is a cupbaord behind it.

Indeed - although the bluebird ones say they fit a T25. I also have headrests on the two front seats and can only recline the driver's as far back as over the battery, then it hits the sink!

Don't really want to put him in the high-top until he's older. I'll investigate what space I have in the van before I buy one I think.

I can take pics if needed.

infact, as you can see from http://www.mallabar.co.uk/photos/T25/pa ... _5813.html
The head-rests are too far forward of the pillars, and I'll have to remove them while the hammock is in place.
