Neither is my van, which has no rust bar two bubbles on the front bumper but cost less than half of what your friend is asking.

Granted, it's only a 14" ..but it has two difflocks and half the mileage ..so in my opinion (to which I was entitled last time I checked) asking for a minimum of 8k is a bit much.

But I'll end our little spat here because a) someone will pay it anyway and b) I can only profit myself from vans fetching silly prices.

...and you'd better apologize to the Scotsmen and -women here :D :D :D

bitter 14" owners strike again . . .tut tut tut. Envy is a terrible thing . . .

Whos bitter?? Maybe the guy who thinks he will get his £8k and didnt !!.

Maybe the van is perfect, maybe it is a 16", maybe he is a lovely fellow but the fact remains its a low spec van with a patchy interior and no rear wiper/syncro badge on the back, only one diff lock and a front suspension rebuild on the way ... AND... the Eberspacher heater listed in the spec is in a box and the heated rear window doesnt work either! There are better/just as good vans available elsewhere at realistic prices and what a surprise it didnt sell ........ and the last bid was a lowish £3101.00!

If you want to see what an eight grand 16" syncro looks like go here

http://www.mobile.de/SIDtvuQ9GHdb-H.dhG ... 1277594223&

Now thats an £8k Syncro .... twin diff locks, proper interior, Eberspacher heater, sunroof, genuine VW wheel carrier, chrome bumpers that are straight, power steering, central locking and half the milage. And Ill bet hes a lovely fellow as well although I dont know him personally!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

I am getting bored of this forum, i thought all us syncro owners were sposed to stick together, there is so much anymosity and bitchin. best just to do your own thing and keep it off the forum. everyones entitled to there opinion, we have all got different vans and dfferent ideas. who gives a dam if that guy is asking 8000 for his bus, or should we have a new forum index entitled "value your van" so we can all comment, or state i got the best deal. we all think we have got the best van, best deal. so well done to you all for being the most knowledgable syncro owner with the best van.
see ya

Thats funny, thats exactly what everyone says the Syncro forum isn't and sets it apart.., looking at recent posts elswhere - so let's not start creating self-fulfilling prophesies please.

The value and prices of vans has caused dissent wherever it has cropped up... that's why replies to Vehicles For Sale were banned.

But I must say this one does look a cracker...

I think this is a cr4p thread.

Isn't there a rule somewhere about not slagging off other peoples for for sale ads ?

An apology to all scots.

I am really sorry your climate sucks and you feel the need to fill your roads full of salt due to your inability to drive.

Will that do?
