Thanks to all, Russell and his winch, Andy for the steering and various other bits, Clive and Jenny for sorting the weekend
The terrain was completely changed and very challenging, a great eye opener.
The wayfarer was a nice lane and especially as we had such a warm welcome at the end of it.
Hope all arrived home safely and have been able to de-mud a little.

What a weekend
I have some fabulous footage, well over an hour. Andrew had his mates round earlier for a preview and they have all gone away in awe.
I have started the copying process as I'm trying to blend 2 devices into one.
All three red head girls had an excellent time although I don't envy Shamsa's washing pile
Andrew thoroughly enjoyed himself with AndyS and was quite eager to dish out advice when I snuck behind the steering wheel and tackled a challenging ascent

Shami loves that washing pile even more so now that the washing machine has decided to give up.
Will have to get a part for it tomorow.

I hope that you'll stay late at the workshop to fix the washing machine just like you did for the syncro
thanks to everyone for a great weekend, didn't have time to get the mud off, just stuck the alloys back on in a downpour this morning, changed into dry clothes and back to it...noticed this evening the brake drums are still mud coloured not red

whats the last pic of? the fastening mech on the yellow double cab tail gates, but why? cheers, good one
The only damage jon, a slight nick in the top, and a small scratch on the dropside... there's some pretty tight rocks towards the exit and two narrrow stone gates

Many, many thanks to all the brave and hardy souls that attended this weekend and made us both so welcome, especially Jenny and Clive for all their efforts, after an eight hour drive and non stop rain it was still a very enjoyable weekend.
P.S. Mrs Crocker's cake recipes are available on request!!

It was a shame that i couldn't be there for the whole weekend and participate with you lot, but fun was had at the workhouse although i'm off the westons organic cider for a long time. Clive... whilst having a look at my cvj and all the bearings i noticed that when the rear nearside wheel was off the spring was loose...??? this must be wrong and the cause of some noise as the offside spring is solid and doesn't wobble! any views....?i'm not driving it for the weekend so hopefully i can get it sorted very soon.

Broken pig-tail at the top or missing spacer?
Look up at the top and see if the spring ends in a premature break or neatly curls to a smaller radius (like the bottom and the other one)..
Dead easy to change remove the bottom shock absorber bolt, loosen the top one (both tight, 70 ft-lbs or thereabouts) and replace it, checking the radius arm locating 'tit', 'teat' (or whatever is PC for it) for rusting away at the same time.
New spring or Syncro-Nutz or Syncrospares can probably supply you a used one. Tighten the shock absorber bolts back up with a jack or stand under the radius arm, (i.e with weight on suspension)
If 'tis not that, then let us know...

Apologies for the delay in the DVD but I have had an absolute mare of a week wich ended up with all of the DVDs completely unreadable
So I shall begin again and I will have some ready to post later tomorrow
