When I was a kid I used to help my Dad paint all his cars...coupla tins of paint from Woolworths and some white spirit, down on the common on the Wirral and stay all day..picnic & paint..some weird colors we used. Also painted my first Mini..as long as the car is clean, light rub over with fine emery cloth & several coats. Some of the best vehicles in the trade are hand painted..I,m doing my white hi-top beast next year...but will be using rustoleum..
