RachelDaisy, thats were I orderd it from, delivered next day, I am having a problem with a suitable leisure battery though as the dimensions mentioned on the Wiki, 310 x 175 x 190 are not the same as under my passenger seat, 310 x 175 x 175 max, so looking for small leisure battery now, :?

Big Tam - ah, a fellow bargain hunter. The space for leisure bat in mine is only 140mm in height when I gain access by swiveling the seat round (as I have replacement seats this has effected things). That's why I'm having to move the battery. Good luck with finding one to fit. I did find Manbat very helpful and prices were good. Perhaps you should give them a try. There is a link to their site in the wiki.

Dave - I forgot I put that link to my myspace in. So that's what www means.

A few questions for you zig buffs out there, I have stripped down where the space for the zig unit is and found some existing wiring.

1. There is a chocolate block with what I presume is the feed from the existing battery and a number of wires going to what I presume (presumtious sod me) would be the lights water pump etc. can I therefore just take these out of the block and put on the distribution block of the zig unit ?.

2. For the 3 core 240v lead from the zig unit I am trying to feed it through existing plastic conduit to the RCD in the cupboard below sink drainer, I am right in thinking this has to come off the 5 amp breaker, on the other hand I could take off the back of the 240v socket next to the zig unit space that however is on the 10 amp breaker. Do I put the wiring to the zig/unit itself at risk by doing this ?.

3. Lastly, the existing feed from the battery to behind the unit goes back to behind the normal battery in the cupboard below gas stove where there is a relay for the fridge. Could I just run some cable here from the leisure battery box under the passenger seat ?, my intention was to put the fuse here and just run earth to chassis from battery and likewise from distribution terminal on zig to chassis.

Any advise most gratefully taken and will buy you a pint or three if at biggar this weekend,

Cheers, :)
Tom

If its like my autohomes conversion, there was 12v feed from the van battery which split to various lights/fridge/pump etc commoned with leisure battery. Tested with multimeter (or by elimination!) and connected them up according to downloaded instructions removing the split charge relay.

I connected mine to the back of the socket for ease using 1.5mm flex as the Zig is separatley fused at 2A. Therefore the 16A flex exceeds the 10A MCB rating.

Not sure about Q3 as my fridge was connected directly to van battery terminals via dual relay (other half disconnected after fitting zig).

Happy wiring!

Funbus, cheers mate, was a bit unsure about conneting to back of 13 amp socket as for Q3, the feed goes back to where fridge relay is and there is yet another chocolate block so I would not intefere with the fridge wiring rather than trying to get new cable from leisure battery to the zig as it would be a sod getting behind units without stripping them out.
