Carb Float Needle Valve

Thank you for your reply, I shall keep all of the info in mind for sure. I can rule out the coil as I've tried another which I bought, also the issue can happen hot or cold. Can't believe how random the cutting out issue is, I could get in it now and drive 100 miles, or just as likely cut out before the end of the road.

The most viable option for me right now is to try a new carb, I have two questions if you don't mind please. The Brosol one is readily available, is that a decent model, recommend it? Also, it doesn't have the lower body heating element, would this matter at all? Thank you.
