You remove it with a tap if you have a tap & die set. The bush should be soaked in oil overnight. And I believe it should be changed when installing a new starter. Mines an auto so no bush is required.

I'd also recommend getting your current starter motor & solenoid refurbished. It looks bad but a wire wheel and a bit of TLC and it'll be good as new. I find the replacements don't have the long stud for the 12V feed.
