I'm with you there. I realised I couldn't afford to pay someone else to look after the van after about 6 months, if I remember correctly. Prior to that my mechanical ability was limited to bicycles. I guess it's always a steep learning curve at some point, my first mechanical job on the van was three sets of wheel bearings and rebuilding the rear brakes. I just have to t ll myself that once I start cutting, it'll all fall into place as long as I follow others examples.
Just a bit scunnered I guess, when the weather eases and I buy a welder and the other stuff needed, I'll get into it. I had just planned to get it under cover to do it all at once, so that'll be an additional challenge with the high top still on.
