For a feed, I just used a mutimeter on the fusebox until I found one that goes live with key in first position in ignition and wired direct. Not even worth fusing as weakest link will be LEDs anyway. I chose 390ohm because it doesn't over-drive the LED so its lifespan is probably infinite.
I also got rid of dash dimmer (only needed when original bulbs were fitted) and replaced it with a chicken switch for the rad fan
I think for heater control illumination you'll need something like a 3mm or 5mm LED - you'll need to check the room you have. Avoid blue LEDs - they're most unpleasant at night.

Wicked. Thanks
Will daisy chain from ignition, what happens on the last one, does it need to go back to a negative??
Do i crimp connection to led or solder??

they need to be in parallel, ie each led/resistor connected to 12v and 0v (ground)

Resistor can go on either lead of the leds.

ok,
so
3 separate wires to 12v each ground.
Can I run the three wires from a block from the feed??
What size electrical wire do I need for this??
Sorry again for my naivety, its been a long time (ever) doing this

Wires can be run to first light, then on to second and third. Use thin wire, current is very low.

I used micromesh - it's ultra fine sand paper for polising glass. It's just enough to remove the corrosion off of the pcb where the lights plug in.

Pic.
Thanks all for the advice
One problem, well two actually. Coolant light now flashes ongoing until I start engine. Used to stop after a few seconds, once it starts light goes out.
Another problem.. more serious getting the dash out and playing around with pcb I have manged to wreck the oil light track, by the bulb, could I join the light to the pin, but the track by the light has come off and there is a break in the pcb circuit.
Few questions, can I fix?? I could hard wire dash but dont want to really or can I buy an extra oil pressure gauge?? If I buy this this for £20 odd quid off Brickwerks it says I need to buy a oil sensor also which is £40. What to do
