Your cold pressures look very low as well I'm wondering if someone has put an very thin oil in it.
Do you know what oil is in there? If not I would be tempted to replace the oil and try again.

Maybe for reference, this out to moved to the mechanical section?

Now changed the filter & oil to 20w50, but not had chance to drive & test. If this does not work, I'll take a look at the oil pump. This truck sat for at least 12 years I reckon, so it could be a problem related to that?

This is an interesting thread. Low oil pressure is not necessarily a bad thing. High oil pressure can be caused by using a 'thicker' oil, but then it doesn't get shoved around the engine. I remember when some works Triumph motorbike racers were run on "Straight' 50 w. and they seized; put onto 20/50 they won.
What you don't want is an engine changing its performance. That is; if you are running spec oil etc. and everything is fine then; Okay. If doing the same results in messages about low oil pressure then it needs looking into.
Unexpected low oil pressure can easily be the death of an engine( I know!); you get the flicker of a warning light then, 'bang' out comes half a con-rod through the crank case.
So do a little looking. make sure the sensors are reading accurately, make sure the oil is to 'spec', check shell bearings and then oil pump.
Are we going on anything else?

Thanks again for the reply.

I've changed the oil and filter and this afternoon been for a quick spin. No change whatsoever to the readings on the pressure gauge, buzzer & light go mental as normal! Therefore I would like to follow the most methodical course of action, was thinking:

• Remove oil sump/ pan and check for debris in oil pump pick up. (new pump is £30 so might replace anyway!)
• Check turbo ? I've read that this is overlooked in these engines.
• Big end bearings - any pointers please while I have the pan off?

I'm not a mechanic, so any advice needs to be simplified. Theoretically the truck has only done 42'000 miles, and there is plenty of indication that this is true (such as low rust, clean interior etc). I may have mentioned already that it has stood still for at least 12 years in a barn, so gasket type deterioration might have occurred?

Rocker cover and head gaskets recently done.

**update** I've continued this issue in mechanical*** https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... 57&start=0
