Thanks for posting the Devon box plans, Kev!
Guess what we'll be working on this week!

We've made up the seat and have fixed it in the van today. In the end we just bought a length of square u-section aluminium from B&Q, chopped it in 2 and screwed one piece to the back of the seat and the other half the other way up to the bulkheaf behind the passenger seat - worked a treat!
Hoorah! Now I can reach my dinner! And think of all that extra beer/wine storage....

Can you remember the size of the steel box section used on the hinged seat?

Kev that is odd I made mine yesterday. Bit of a mission as I re did it 3 times
First effort, was as per your details but when finished I tried it in the van only to find that the table floor support is in the wrong place making it far too big to be of use as a seat as too close to the table. Second effort, I decided to reduce the size to the minimum to take the portaloo. This worked quite well but was deeper than wide and still very close to the table position. Third effort, stripped down again and removed the nice curved parts of the side and made a new lid. It now works a treat twisted 90 degrees.
But the realisation has now clicked in that I spent about 10 hours making a basic box not the useless work of art that I started out with.
