Btw. I drove about 100 miles without problems, almost to my home when there was a loud BANG from the exhaust and car stopped and did not start again. It tries to start but no cigar. Im suspecting coil has gone bad and excess fuel banged in the pipe. At least i hope that is the case...

Re: Filty rich WBX
Found out that the oil sensor wire was damaged, repaired it and the goshdarn buzzing stopped
Still cannot find a reason for non functioning engine heat gauge/fuel gauge. Must be a faulty wire or something.. where is the earth point for those two?

when you get back to worrying about the gauges, it is almost certainly the voltage regulator on the back of the clock/rev counter that is at fault. it provides 10v for those gauges. they earth independently, through the respective senders.

I have to say you would fix these problems quicker if you concentrated on one at a time ( one problem per thread), this thread is all over the place, I'm lost

Re: Filty rich WBX
Okay sorry, let me clarify. (im used to forum rules that do not flood the place with many threads)
Current issues:
-Does not start nor run after two loud bangs on the pipe.
(buzzer of death is fixed)
-No fuel signal
-No temperature signal
Nr 1 priority of course is to make it run first.
What has been done:
-dizzy cap replaced
-plugs replaced
-fuel filter replaced
-ignition box replaced
-coil replaced
-AFM cleaned
-temp sensor replaced
-fuel pump relay replaced

go back to basics, check you have sparks
fit spare spark plugs to leads rest on engine making contact and watch while a helper cranks engine.

you need to break clean and remake all of the electrical connections including the earths in the engine bay....when you do the ecu don't turn the ignition on until you are sure it has a good grounding.....and check the earth at the starter motor
